Pharo, named after the idea of light as a guiding presence, is conceived as a lamp in quiet balance between matter, movement and atmosphere.
Its form emerges from a dialogue between digital fabrication and manual refinement: a 3D-printed shade, carefully sanded and finished by hand, meets an electroplated metallic body with a warm, bronze-like presence. The result is not intended to conceal its process, but to reveal it through texture, tactility and subtle imperfections.
The rotating shade allows the light to shift and respond to its surroundings, transforming the object from a functional lamp into a small architectural gesture. In a darkened space, the metallic surface recedes into shadow while the illuminated shade becomes a suspended volume of light. When switched off, the materiality of the object returns to the foreground: the depth of the finish, the weight of the base and the crafted surface define its presence.
This tension between technology and handcraft is central to Frattale Studio. With Pharo, recycled and contemporary processes are not treated as compromises, but as tools to create an accessible object with a strong material identity - a lamp where plastic, metal and light coexist with equal importance.
